The St Clair Christmas carnival took place this weekend with 155 teams taking part in the biggest basketball tournament in the state.
Basketball SA hosts the carnival every year which promotes participation, friendly competition and fun heading into the Christmas period. The event ran from December 11‐13 and has now concluded its 39th year drawing over 1,000 players from all over South Australia competing in Under 10 to seniors’ competitions over the three day tournament.
MAC Adelaide Lightning players Tara Robinson and Mikaela Ruef were at St Clair Recreation Centre on Friday, 11 Dec to kick off the carnival and Jess Good and Jess Bygate were at Wayville Sports Centre on Saturday to take photos with the players and sign autographs. The players attended the carnival to provide encouragement to all the teams and to promote important road safety messages heading into the holiday season.
