The Bendigo Bank Spirit are back on top of the WNBL ladder after recording the biggest of their seven wins of the season so far against Adelaide on Saturday night.
When they met in the season-opener last month the Spirit needed overtime to get over the top of the Lightning.
But it was a far more comfortable win for the Spirit, who backed up their victory in Perth on Friday night with a 74-51 triumph at the Adelaide Arena.
It was a win that featured two bench players leading the Spirit scoring in Nadeen Payne and Ashleigh Spencer.
Payne scored 13 points, while Spencer made the most of her extended 17 minutes on the court by adding 12, with the pair shooting a combined 11-of-16 from the field.
Starters Kelsey Griffin, Kerryn Harrington and Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe all scored 10 points apiece.
In was another dominant performance on the boards for the Spirit, who smashed the Lightning 48-27 in the rebound count.
Having also obliterated Perth 47-34, the Spirit overall outrebounded their opposition 95-61 in their weekend interstate road trip.
The Spirit are now 7-3, with another interstate trip next on their agenda.
They travel to Sydney on Friday night to play the Flames, before returning home on Sunday to play the winless Adelaide for the third time from 3pm.
