Bendigo Bank Spirit captain Kelly Wilson is urging #onespirit fans to make Sunday’s home game a celebration.
The Spirit will play their last regular season home game against the Adelaide Lightning at 2pm Sunday.
“If we make the finals, the most-likely scenario is we won’t play at home again until the second Grand Final game,” Wilson said.
“We want Sunday’s game to be a real party, to thank the Bendigo community for their amazing support this year.
“Each player has really enjoyed getting out in the community this year, and we know how much you enjoy it.
“Sunday is your chance to help us take the next step in our finals dream, and our chance to repay your faith in us.”
Kelly said she is expecting a hard game.
“Adelaide is almost the form team at the moment. They have been flying in the past month.
“They have had some big wins and some very close losses, so we will need every edge we can get.
“We have been blown away by the size and the noise of the crowds this year, and we are now almost in a do-or-die situation.
“Our fighting spirit is legendary, and Sunday will be a great chance for Spirit fans to see that first-hand.”
