Bec Cole of the Jayco Rangers has been named the Player of the Week for the second time this season after she led the Rangers to a pair of wins in Round 13.

Cole continued her career-best season on Friday night against Townsville, scoring eight points in the first quarter to give the Rangers an eight-point edge at quarter-time.

The Fire fought back in the second-period to bring the half-time margin back to just one point but Cole steadied the ship with another eight points in the third term.

Dandenong went on to prevail, 77-72 and Cole finished with 27 points on an efficient 11-17 shooting to go along with four rebounds, five assists and two steals.

The Rangers then backed up on Sunday afternoon at Brydens Stadium against the Flames and Cole again set the tone, scoring nine first quarter points to pace the Rangers to a 21-13 lead.

She was a concern for Sydney Uni at both ends of the court, utilising her athleticism and fast hands to claim four steals while turning those interceptions into easy transition lay-ups.

Cole finished with another highly efficient game, dropping 25 points on 11-16 shooting as well as a rebound, two assists, four steals and one block in the 25-point victory.

Her massive weekend saw her scoring average rise to 19 points per game on the season, good enough for third in the WNBL while she has improved her field goal percentage from 38% to 50% as she makes a late run in the MVP conversation.

Bec Cole Round 13 stats: 26 points on 67% shooting, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals per game.
