Dandenong Basketball is thrilled to announce that Rebecca Cole has signed with the Jayco Rangers for the 2018-19 WNBL season.
The long-time Bulleen/Melbourne Boomers star will swap out purple for Rangers green in WNBL19, coming to join the Rangers after playing a key role in Melbourne’s WNBL Grand Final appearance.
Ready to begin a new chapter in her basketball career, Rebecca said she can’t wait to get back out on a WNBL court and help a new group of teammates achieve that same success.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Jayco Rangers for this upcoming season and I can’t wait to be a part of my new club”, said Rebecca. “I think timing is everything and it feels like the perfect time for my new basketball chapter with Dandenong to begin. I’ve always loved the style of game Dandenong have played and I think it really suits me and what I can offer the team.”
Going into her ninth WNBL season, the 26-year old has now established herself as a smart veteran of the league and was rewarded for her great play during WNBL18 by being selected in Australia’s FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup Team, winning bronze.
Looking ahead to WNBL19 Rebecca appears primed for a big season ahead, with Elite Teams Administration Manager Trish Fallon excited about what Rebecca will bring to the court for our Jayco Rangers.
“We’re thrilled to have Bec join the Jayco Rangers for WNBL19”, said Fallon. “Bec is a dynamic scoring guard who brings an attacking style of play, tough competitiveness and the drive to win; all the traits needed to help the Rangers move towards a successful season. I know that Bec’s work ethic on and off the court will truly make her a fan favourite here at Dandenong.”
The 2018-19 WNBL Season will kick off in October, with the WNBL19 schedule to be released soon. For all Jayco Rangers updates follow us on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter or visit www.dandenongbasketball.com.au.
