The Jayco Rangers have delivered toys and gifts from Rangers fans, friends and family to those in need in support of the Salvatation Army’s fantastic Christmas Toy Drive.
A big thank you from Dandenong Basketball goes out to all who donated to this great cause, your support will assist the Salvation Army in delivering Christmas packages to 400 families in the Dandenong area.
Project Hope Dandenong’s Captain Stuart McGifford stated that they were thrilled to accept the donation, citing unprecedented demand for the Salvation Army Dandenong’s services.
“This year Dandenong Salvation Army will assist 400 family units with a Christmas package that can include toys, food and/a voucher”, said Captain McGifford. “There is no joy like watching a child on Christmas morning and the generous support from the Dandenong Community will help us bring joy to the joyless this year”.
Rangers stars Nat Novosel and Ally Malott were on hand to deliver the donations to the Salvation Army, along with Dandenong Basketball’s Elite Teams Administration Manager Trish Fallon, who stated that she greatly appreciated the Rangers community donating to this worthwhile cause.
“Sadly, many families go without at Christmas time, so the Xmas Toy Drive provides a great opportunity to put a smile on a child’s face”, said Fallon. “Christmas time is also one of the Salvation Army’s busiest times of the year, so a very special thankyou to everyone that dropped off a toy at our last home game. Your support is much appreciated by the Salvation Army who now can make a difference to the lives of many.”
