Rangers vs. Lynx Preview

Each team has secured a finals spot but don’t expect anything less than a fiery contest this Saturday night, with final playoff seeding on the line across the league.

Both will be gunning for a 2nd place finish and homecourt advantage in the first round, with the Rangers needing to take the victory and then have Bendigo Spirit hand the Lynx another loss.

In their last matchup Perth denied Dandenong the season sweep, controlling the fourth quarter of a tight game to win 87-77. The other two games were Dandenong routs averaging at a 24 point loss for the Lynx, but it appears Perth have turned a corner in the new year, going six-from-seven in 2017.

MVP-candidate Sami Whitcomb has had one of the most impressive regular seasons in recent memory for the Lynx, averaging 24 points including an outstanding 87 made threes whilst shooting at a superb 42%. No doubt a key for the Jayco Rangers will be slowing down the superstar guard, which they have been successful at during the regular season.

While the Jayco Rangers have lost their past four games, it is not all doom & gloom for our Dandenong stars, who officially secured a finals spot once Bendigo lost last weekend. They also appeared to turn a corner on Saturday night against Sydney, holding the lead for most of the game on the road against the league’s minor premiers in a tough 81-77 loss. Look for Rangers stars Steph Cumming & Ally Malott to have big games in this one; if they are shooting hot from deep the Jayco Rangers should take this one.

It’s going to be a huge clash and we need this win Rangers fans! Make sure you’re cheering LOUD throughout the whole game to push your Dandenong stars over the line, let’s grab that homecourt advantage!!!
