Round 5 Review

The Jayco Rangers suffered a tough home loss on Sunday, as the Canberra Capitals locked Dandenong down with some high-energy defence and rebounding.

Despite some solid offensive play the Rangers struggled to claw back to a single-digit margin throughout the game, eventually falling to the Capitals 83-70.

Both sides are now 4-3 (win-loss) for the season and they will meet again next round when the Rangers take a home game to Traralgon on Saturday night.

“We weren’t together on our defence today,” said Rangers captain Steph Cumming.

“We had our scouts ready to but we kind of crumbled when the pressure came so that’s definitely what we will be working on this week.”

A big weekend ahead for the Rangers, we know they’ll be studying hard to re-prepare for the energetic Capitals! Heading to Traralgon this Saturday, we’ll look to put Sunday’s loss behind us and regain our spot on top of the WNBL ladder.
