Nina Ferro, a finalist on The Voice 2016, will perform live at the Cup Eve Blockbuster next Monday before and during the showdown between the Deakin Melbourne Boomers and Dandenong Rangers.
Scheduled to sing the National Anthem before the big game, it has also been confirmed that Nina will perform at half-time prior to the Boomers holding an on-court Halloween Party for the children to come down and pick up a treat or two.
“It’s an exciting addition to our entertainment on a big night for the Boomers, Rangers and the WNBL,” said Boomers GM Justin Nelson.
“To have Nina join us before the game and at half-time is fantastic, we can’t wait to have Nina join us at centre-court singing, she is incredibly talented and has worked across the globe. I’d like to thank Nina for supporting the Boomers and welcome her to the family with open arms,” added Nelson.
Fans are encouraged to wear their favourite hat to the game to help celebrate the Cup Eve theme, but with the game falling on Halloween the Boomers have also decided to throw a Halloween Party at half-time.
“Nina is going to sing at the half-time break and then we’re going to open the court to all the kids for a bit of Halloween fun,” said Nelson.
“We want the kids to dress up, we’ll have some great prizes for the best dressed, with Dexter the Dragon also out there giving away plenty of lollies and treats.
“Every Boomers game is a family event, but in particular both Cup Eve and Australia Day Eve are fantastic night’s out for the whole family. We’re all looking forward to next Monday when we’ll see a mix of great entertainment mixed with world-class women’s basketball,” added Nelson.
