In Round 17 of the SBL there was just the one contracted Perth Lynx player in action, with Perry Lakes and Rockingham having byes.

Carley Mijovic’s Kalmunda Suns had a double-header and split the results.

In the loss to Lakeside, she finished one point and one rebound short of a rare 20-20 game, grabbing 19 boards and scoring 19 points.

In her team’s win over the South West she added 24 points.

In the WNBA, Ruth Hamblin’s Dallas Wings fell to Minnesota, but it was the Lynx recruit’s biggest opportunity so far in her short professional career.

She played a season-high 15 minutes, scored three points, grabbed four rebounds and blocked a shot.

Meanwhile, Tessa Lavey and Nat Burton are both on the Gold Coast awaiting the Australian Opals Olympic Team selection announcement.
