The Perth Lynx hit the road for a quick two-game road trip, beginning on Friday 25 November when they take on the Townsville Fire in a WNBL Grand Final rematch.

Coming off their first home defeat of the season, the Lynx are looking to bounce back in style against a Fire team that boasts a 3-1 home record.

The Lynx are looking to improve their efforts on the glass, and have an opportunity against a Townsville side allowing 41.0 rebounds per game to opposing sides.

Ruth Hamblin and Natalie Burton combined for 13 rebounds and five blocks when these sides met back in round one, and both will look to anchor the Lynx defence against a strong Townsville frontcourt, led by Suzy Batkovic.

Batkovic ranks second in the league in scoring (19.2 ppg) and third in rebounding (8.7 rpg), and enjoyed a strong day when these teams last met, scoring 25 points along with 11 boards.

Sami Whitcomb has starred throughout the WNBL season, and will look to build off her career performance last Friday, while Brianna Butler looks set to make her Perth Lynx debut and offers another scoring threat against a tough Townsville defence.

The Perth Lynx take on the Townsville Fire on Friday 25 November at 5:00pm WST.
