Sami Whitcomb has been named to her fourth consecutive WNBL Team of the Week, after another fantastic performance in Round 4.
Whitcomb scored 29 points, along with nine assists and six rebounds in a huge victory for the Perth Lynx, and was well on her way to a triple-double before sitting out the majority of the final quarter.
Having made the WNBL Team of the Week a league leading eight times last season, Whitcomb has now received the accolade in every week of the 2016/17 season.
Whitcomb’s four Team of the Week nominations leads the WNBL after the first month of the season, with Leilaini Mitchell, Stephanie Cumming and Nayo Rainock-Ekunwe tied for second most nominations with two each.
The Lynx star leads the league in points (138), points per game (23.0) and steals (14), and is second to only teammate Carley Mijovic in three-pointers made (19).
Whitcomb is also averaging 5.5 rebounds and 4.33 assists, while shooting 40 per cent from beyond the arc.
