Head Coach Cheryl Chambers and General Manager Karen Dalton were invited to Port Macquarie last week to conduct clinics at local schools. St Columba Anglican School and the Port Macquarie Adventist School hosted the Flames staff over two days as hundreds of young students attended the sessions of all levels of skill, from beginners to elite.

“The clinics were fantastic, a lot of fun and the kids were really impressive with their learning, effort and application to all the drills and games we played” Head Coach Cheryl Chambers said.

Chambers has inherited the Flames Community Programs as a key aspect of her new coaching position. The Community Program is aimed at developing young basketballers throughout metropolitan and country New South Wales whilst also promoting the game of basketball. A key aspect of the Community Program is the Flames Academy which provides young U18 & U20 female basketballers in NSW authentic WNBL experiences.
