Townsville Fire Ambassadors

The JCU Townsville Fire commenced an Ambassador program in 2014/15 and the club has enjoyed sustained success during this period. The Ambassadors reflect the club’s ethos of providing positive, healthy role models to the North Queensland community.

Australian, Queensland and North Queensland Cowboys playmaker Michael Morgan is the latest Ambassador to join the JCU Townsville Fire. Born and raised in Townsville, the Cowboys star is one of the NRL’s brightest prospects and became a fan favourite after playing a key role in the club’s maiden premiership victory.

“I’m a proud Townsville person and it’s great that there is a pathway for young females to follow their dreams and play at the highest level in the WNBL. The Fire has done so well in recent season – they’re a successful sporting club in their own right – and it’s great that we have another national team in the city that we can support.”
