The JCU Townsville Fire firmly believes that every member matters.
As part of our 2016/17 WNBL campaign, every person who signs up as a member for the Fire before the end of September will have their name watermarked onto Townsville Stadium for the duration of the season.
With the Fire hoping to become the first Queensland team to secure a three-peat – and just the third in WNBL history – General Manager Richard Goodbody said the symbolism of the concept was not lost on the club’s players, coaches or staff.
“We firmly believe that every member matters,” Goodbody said.
“During our back-to-back titles, there is no doubt that our home crowd including the WNBL’s biggest membership base has played a key role in our championship success.
“Townsville Stadium is the league’s most feared fortress – it’s a hostile venue to play in – and we have our members and fans to thank for that.
“As a result, what better way to say thank you than by putting their names on the floor so every time we run past it, we understand why we are wearing a Fire singlet.
“If you’re not already a member, now is the time to join.”
Earlier this month, the Fire also announced that they had united with Emu Sportswear as the club’s official supporter wear partner.
In addition to having you name on the floor at Townsville Stadium, every Fire members receives a complimentary Emu polo or t-shirt and a reserved seat to every game, along with a raft of other benefits.
Adult memberships are just $198, $126 for concession and $96 for children.
Memberships can be purchased through either of The Ticket Shop’s two locations – The Civic Theatre, South Townsville or Riverway Arts Centre – by phoning (07) 4727 9797 or online.
