July 9, 2025 | Adelaide Lightning news

Jasmin Fejo has signed with the Adelaide Lightning for the 2025/26 season, further adding to the strength of the team.

Fejo has risen through the ranks in South Australian basketball, playing in the NBL1 Central competition, with her talent on full show at the Adelaide Lightning x NBL1 Open Run.

Jasmin Fejo said: “There’s nowhere else I’d rather play than right here at home in Adelaide. The Lightning means so much to me and it’s a true honour to be part of shaping the next chapter of the club with the coach, players and the community.”

#15 with the NBL1 Central Woodville Warriors, Fejo has averaged 20.93 points, 4.64 assists, 6.71 rebounds.

“I have loved this season in the NBL1 and it’s inspired me to dig deep and show Kerryn what I’ve got.”

Earlier this year, Fejo was also named in the Indigenous Basketball Australia (IBA) Women’s All Stars game with fellow Lightning teammate, Dallas Loughridge.

“Competing in the IBA was an amazing experience. Coming together to showcase Indigenous excellence and talent was something special.”

In addition to her achievements on the court, Fejo is also a Mum, passionate about being a positive role model for her son.

“I want my son to see that women can achieve anything if they set their minds to it. Perseverance and belief in yourself can truly open doors. It’s always a nice feeling when I know he’s watching and cheering for me.”

Head Coach Kerryn Mitchell said: “Jasmin represents what we love about South Australian basketball. She’s a super athlete, runs the floor hard and moves so well. She brings a great competitive spirit that stood out at the recent Open Run.”

“I had the pleasure of watching Jas and Dallas play as part of the IBA just a few weeks ago and was very impressed. She’s a great role model and I’m delighted she’s joining the team to inspire the next generation of girls playing basketball in Adelaide and across South Australia.”
