Los Angeles Sparks set to ignite Adelaide Lightning lineup

The Adelaide Lightning are thrilled to announce the signing of standout player and the club’s first import, Los Angeles Sparks Forward Sania Feagin.
The two-time NCAA Champion (2022, 2024) and SEC All-Defensive Team (2025) was also WNBA 2025 Round 2, 21st pick. She was also a semi-finalist for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award for her defensive play and dedication.
Sania Feagin said: “I’m so excited to join the Adelaide Lightning. Playing in Australia and in the WNBL is a dream come true. The team is entering an exciting new chapter and I’m looking forward to working with Kerryn and the girls to create something special this season.”
Head Coach Kerryn Mitchell said: “We’re delighted Sania Feagin will join the Adelaide Lightning for the 2025/26 season. She’s what I would describe as a super athlete. She works hard across both sides of the ball, boards hard and has an impressive mid-range game.”
“Feagin is also a great teammate and will be the perfect addition to the team and culture we’re creating here in Adelaide. I personally think the fans will love seeing Feagin in action.”
Feagin quickly rose to success during her time at the University of South Carolina, with her defence, agility and determination making her an exciting pick for her WNBA debut.
Feagin averaged 8.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 2025. She also shot 60.1% from the field and 79.7% from the free-throw line.
Feagin will bring the spark from Los Angeles to Adelaide, fresh from the WNBA and ready for the WNBL season.
