Four former WNBL players have been selected for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

Brittney Sykes, Kayla Thornton and Jackie Young will all play under Team Clark’s All-Star Head Coach and Australian National Team (Opals) coach Sandy Brondello, while Courtney Williams will play alongside Chicago’s Angel Reese for Team Collier.

Sykes was selected late for the All-Star Game as an injury replacement for superstar Caitlin Clark. She played for the UC Capitals during the 2021-22 season, where she was named to the All-WNBL First Team and was the Defensive Player of the Year.

Joining her on the same All-WNBL First Team was Young, who led the Perth Lynx to the Grand Final — eventually falling to the then-Melbourne Boomers.

And lastly, for Team Clark is Thornton, who was our most recent WNBL alumnus. She played for the Southside Flyers during the 2022/23 season, where she was also named to the All-WNBL First Team and led the Flyers to the Grand Final, where they lost to the Townsville Fire.

For Team Collier, Williams will be the only WNBL representative, who last played in the league in the 2017/18 season for the Perth Lynx. She scored a jaw-dropping 41 points against the Adelaide Lightning, was named the club MVP and was critical to the club’s 14-game win streak that season.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star game will take place on Sunday from 10:00am AEST on Kayo Sports.
