Some of the biggest names in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) will be up for grabs
when the Free Agency Period opens on Monday June 2, 12pm (AEST).

The countdown is on and the stage is set for one of the most thrilling Free Agency periods in WNBL
history. Superstar talent such as Isabelle Bourne, Miela Sowah and Rebecca Cole are on the market,
and clubs across the league are primed to make power moves as they chase Championship glory in
the 2025/26 season.
The action has already started with several high-impact signings turning heads. Jade Melbourne is
locked in for another season with the Canberra Capitals while Perth Lynx MVP Ally Wilson has recommitted
to the club. Townsville Fire have secured the ever-reliable Alicia Froling while Shaneice
Swain is set to return to the Sydney Flames.

Each club can build their ultimate lineup under the roster rules of a maximum of two restricted players,
one non-restricted marquee player, one league marquee player, and one amateur player, with 10
contracted players per roster.

Development players do not count towards the 10 contracted players.

With Adelaide Lightning confirmed as the eighth club for the WNBL 2025/26 season and beyond, a full
