The Perth Lynx have re-signed superstar Ally Wilson for the WNBL26 season.

The Paris Olympian and WNBL star returns to the Lynx for her second season, after making an impressive debut for the club in 2024/25.

Wilson quickly became Perth’s go-to offensive option, averaging 15.7 points per game, which led her to being named to the WNBL First-Team and winning the club’s MVP.

The two-time WNBL Champion (Townsville 2015, Sydney 2017), led Perth to a 16-5 record, sitting second on the ladder only behind the eventual Championship-winning Bendigo Spirit. In a two-game sweep, the Townsville Fire prematurely ended the Lynx’s season.

With unfinished business, Wilson said she cannot wait to return to the historic club.

“I’m excited to be back in Perth. I felt like I thrived in the system last year and really enjoyed playing basketball,” she said.

“I’m keen to be back playing under Ryan (Petrik) and hopefully bring my experience and leadership to bring a Championship back to Perth.”

Between WNBA campaigns, Wilson spent three months with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky in preseason before being waived. During her tenure, Wilson suited up in two preseason games, playing just under 19 minutes against Brazil and the Minnesota Lynx.

She recently returned from the FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Mongolia, where Australia dominated Pool A before losing in the Quarter-Final to the eventual Champions Netherlands.

From Sunday, Wilson will represent the Opals in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup. Where Australia will look to improve on their bronze medal finish back in 2023.

Between the WNBA and national team duties, Wilson has played three games for the NBL1 West’s Mandurah Magic – ensuring she’s game fit ahead of WNBL26.

Wilson joins Anneli Maley, Kiara Waite, Steph Gorman and Alex Ciabattoni on the Lynx’s 2025/26 roster.
