Fixture drop: Perth Lynx ready to light up the WNBL in 2025-26

The countdown to tip-off is officially on, with the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) today unveiling its full fixture for the 2025–26 season – and the Perth Lynx are ready to make a statement.
Fresh off yesterday’s announcement that all home games will be played at the Perth High Performance Centre (HPC), the Lynx are set to bring elite basketball to their new home base for a full season of action, energy and connection with their members and fans.
The Lynx will kick off their 2025 campaign on the road, facing the Adelaide Lightning on Sunday, 19 October. The team will then return to Perth for their much-anticipated home opener in Round 2, taking on the Sydney Flames on Sunday, 26 October. Poignantly, the club’s first home game of the new season will also be Indigenous Round, celebrating First Nations culture, heritage and storytelling.
In preparation for this first home game, the Lynx are working closely with Perth HPC to create an electric atmosphere, with the aim of selling out the venue. The goal is not just to fill seats, but to make a bold statement about the strength and excitement of women’s basketball in Western Australia. Fans can expect a range of exclusive offers – away from the high calibre on-court action – designed to get the community involved and make this a landmark event for the sport in WA.
“This fixture marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the League and for our club,” said Perth Lynx General Manager, Chris Earl. “With the move to Perth HPC and a schedule packed with marquee matchups, we’re excited to deliver a season that our fans won’t forget – hopefully culminating in a Championship”
The 2025-26 WNBL fixture features 23 games across 17 rounds for each club, including 11 home games, 11 away games, and one showcase game during HoopsFest Perth – a four-day celebration of basketball from January 15 to 18 that will see all eight WNBL teams descend on Perth for a blockbuster Round 12.
Other highlights include:
- Indigenous Round (Round 2): v Sydney Flames (Sunday 26 October @ Perth HPC)
- HoopsFest Perth (Round 12): Four electrifying games, including the Lynx’s clash with reigning Champions, Bendigo Spirit (Thursday 15 January @ RAC Arena)
- Pride Round (Round 14): A vibrant show of inclusion and community, v Southside Flyers (Tuesday 27 January @ Victorian State Basketball Centre)
The Lynx will face every team at least twice, with six rounds featuring double-header matchups to keep the intensity high and the competition fierce. All match times and broadcast information will be confirmed at a later date.
Once again, the Finals Series will see the best teams come together in a best-of-three Semi-Final series with the top two teams going on to battle it out in a best-of-three Championship series to determine the 2025-26 WNBL Champions.
With returning players including 2024-25 co-captain, Anneli Maley, and young gun, Steph Gorman, who were both announced this week, the Lynx are poised to make waves in the new-look WNBL.
Tickets for all WNBL games will go on sale from September 5 via official club and league channels.
