NZ Tall Fern joins Lynx roster

Perth Lynx is excited to announce that Kiwi guard, Tegan Graham, has put pen-to-paper with the club, signing a one-year deal to join the club for the 2025-26 Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) season.
The 28-year-old has been a standout presence in New Zealand since bursting onto the court as a teenager, representing her country at the Oceania Championships in the U17 and U19 squads. Her impressive efforts here solidified her skill at the beginning of what has gone on to become a career with an already impressive resume.
Graham commenced her college basketball career at Colgate University, where she earned over 700 points in 98 games, ranking sixth all-time in the school’s 3-point percentage. As team captain in her senior year, Graham led Colgate to achieve the second-highest season win record.
Graham then transferred to the Brigham Young University (BYU) Cougars for from 2020 to 2022, setting a New Zealand Division 1 record for most games played. Alongside this record, Graham famously hit 10-three pointers in one game against Oklahoma, producing the best performance by any Kiwi in NCAA Division1 history.
Following her impressive collegiate dominance, Graham played two seasons in Europe, winning the Championship with her club in Sweden and MVP during her time in Germany. Most recently, Graham was selected for the New Zealand Tall Ferns 2025 team, earning her debut cap during the 2025 Trans-Tasman Throwdown series.
Signing with the Lynx, Graham brings her elite shooting to the roster, placing her at top ranking nationally in New Zealand’s 3-point percentage. Her across-the-ditch defensive strength and consistency positions her as an invaluable asset for the Lynx as she sets to join them on court.
Speaking on her signing, Graham said she was excited to join the Lynx roster.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Lynx for my first season in the WNBL. I’ve heard great things about Perth and the culture surrounding the club. This opportunity is an awesome new challenge for me and I’m looking forward to meeting the team and bringing some energy!”
Lynx head coach, Ryan Petrik, also welcomed the news.
“Tegan’s a player we really chased pretty hard once her agent let us know WNBL was an option for her. Her length, versatility, shooting range, work ethic, and how she can play multiple roles is really exciting for how we like to play. We’re really keen to start working with her as she begins her WNBL career.”
Graham joins Amy Atwell, Alex Ciabattoni, Steph Gorman, Anneli Maley, Kiara Waite and Ally Wilson as players currently contracted to the Lynx for season 2025-26.
