Tera Reed Re-Signs With The Flyers for the 2025/26 wnbl season

The Southside Flyers are thrilled to announce that versatile guard-forward Tera Reed will return for the 2025/26 WNBL season.
After joining the Flyers in 2024 from the Melbourne Boomers, Reed quickly cemented herself as a key contributor on both ends of the floor. Her size, athleticism, and defensive instincts made her a reliable option in big moments, while her ability to score, create, and rebound added crucial depth to the Flyers’ rotation.
Reed’s 2024/25 season included standout performances such as a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double against Geelong United and a clutch showing against Bendigo, where she calmly knocked down four free throws in the dying seconds to seal a thrilling three-point victory.
“I decided to re-sign with the Flyers because I really believe in what we’re building here. The culture, the people, and the direction the team is heading all align with where I want to grow as an athlete and person.
I’m also excited about the group we have this season, and I am looking forward to playing with Cayla George and Issie Bourne, who have both had strong campaigns with the Opals at the Asia Cup.
It’s a great mix of returning and new players, and I’m looking forward to what we can create together,” Tera said this week.
Originally from New Zealand, Reed has represented the Tall Ferns on the international stage and continues to grow her game at the elite level. Her commitment to Southside marks another strong piece of the Flyers’ roster puzzle as we prepare for another push toward championship contention in 2025/26.
“It’s great to have Tera back at the Flyers!
She provides great versatility for our team, at both ends of the floor, giving us options on how we want to play – she can put it on the floor and get to the rack, but can also shoot the 3.
Tera is also a quality person and a great teammate to all the players, which is important for the Flyers,” Kristi said this week from China, where she is an Assistant Coach with the gold medal-winning Opals.
I would like to see her take her game to another level this year and be consistent night in and night out. She is still improving her game, and that is the exciting thing for us, to see just how good she can be in the WNBL.
We talk about development, and it is about everyone at the Flyers, individuals and the team, and I am looking forward to Tera continuing to develop her game,” Kristi added.
With a growing roster of young and experienced talent, the Southside Flyers are shaping up as one of the most exciting teams to watch in the upcoming season, and Tera will no doubt play a key role in the season ahead.
