Swain named WNBL’s Player of the Round for second time
For the second time in WNBL25, Sydney Flames’ Shaneice Swain has been named the competition’s Player of the Round.
On the back of her player-of-the-match performance against the UC Capitals on Thursday, Swain received the accolade – backing up her performance earlier in the season during round five.
That performance also saw Flame #224 named in the competition’s team of the round, marking the third time she’s been selected during the 2024-25 season.
Joining the Los Angeles Sparks draft pick in the team of the week for round 14 are Canberra’s Jade Melbourne, Adelaide’s Steph Talbot, Bendigo’s Sami Whitcomb and Geelong’s Haley Jones.

Swain’s Flames return to the AIS Arena on Sunday, February 9, for a 3pm AEDT clash with the Capitals.
