Year two of Harvey Norman Future Flames officially tips off

After an outstanding first year and two weeks of recent trials, the Harvey Norman Future Flames program has officially tipped off for 2025.
Day one of the 10-week program, run in conjunction with Basketball NSW to provide a pathway for NSW juniors to the state’s only WNBL club, saw the 25 athletes run through strength work, conditioning, on-court skills, shooting and basketball concepts.
Flames head coach Guy Molloy, who ran the day’s program at Hoops Capital East, was stoked with how the first day went and is excited for what the future holds, not only for the program but the athletes.

“I really love the Renae [Garlepp] and the other Future Flames coaches have put together, with there being plenty of talent, size and athleticism among it,” said Molloy, who recently hosted a regional Future Flames camp in Albury.
“The vision of the program, to develop internally and harness the amazing talent we have here in NSW, is the best way to be, and I’m confident it is going to help take these Future Flames’ games to the next level.
“We had a productive day one on court, and I’m excited to see what our players are capable of over the next nine weeks.”
